Halloween has come and gone, leaving us with loads of temptation in candy form. This is our first Halloween in PA, and we had no idea how much to buy. In our last place, hordes of trick-or-treaters dropped by, and sometimes we had to rush out to buy more last minute goodies or risk running out.
Last night, we placed the candy (mostly chocolate) on the table right by the front door. This proved too much for Pablo, who jumped onto the sofa to try to snag a few. Several Christmases ago, he managed to swipe almost all of the chocolate Santa left in my daughter’s stocking—prompting a frantic trip to an all-night pharmacy on Christmas to get charcoal pills—so we thought it best to remove the temptation. But not before Pablo took in a few chocolaty sniffs.
