Over Labor Day weekend friends from the big city (NYC) came to visit and go sightseeing in Philly. Their almost-nine-year-old daughter, N, has heard about the exploits of Pablo and the cats from her mom, a faithful reader of this blog, and in anticipation of the trip composed and illustrated a story about the animals. Titled, Pablo and the Two Cats, the story casts Pablo as the head of a camp for wayward animals. As camp director, he devises a series of games for the kitties, including a relay race. The games, which have very detailed rules, culminate in “Leaping, sniffing, tangle, throw!” with OC (amazingly) as the winner. The illustrations are priceless. Here is a portrait of K, me, and Pablo.
And my favorite, Rita eying a bird. See my previous posts of July 27 and August 25 about Rita’s crime spree.
